Head of Story Test (2019)

This is a test I did for a Head of Story position at Kuku Studios in Berkeley, CA. They hired another artist in the end, but this test got me an interview, and I was happy with how it turned out. The show (Go!Go! Cory Carson/Netflix) is developed in-house at Kuku and each episode is written by the board artist. The brief for the test was only: 'It’s a hot summer day and the Carsons are enjoying a dip in the Bumperton Hills public swimming pool. Cory’s determined to try his hand at the high dive board, but he comes to find that it’s a lot harder than it looks. All work here (story, script, backgrounds, etc) is my own. Below the animatic (no audio) click 'read more' to view thumbnails and writing I did during the brainstorming process.

Happy New Year!

I am immediately available and looking for work as a Story Artist/Story Supervisor. Here is my 2019 Christmas Card animatic. I am updating my portfolio this very week, and can't wait to show the new work.

Sunny Day (2017)

These are some final sequences I delivered on a challenging show that required many, many poses and between 1,800 and 2,000 panels per 11-minute episode. There were multiple, high energy characters in every scene plus two song and dance segments per episode. It is the hardest I have ever worked on a series to date.  The best way to view this gallery is click on 'read more'(below left) then click on an image and use the arrow keys to flip through the drawings.
